Licorice Root

Licorice has one of the highest antidepressant compounds, amongst all herbs. It works by stimulating the production of active hormones thus improving brain functioning. Daily consumption of the calming licorice tea is believed to improve mood and reduce the depression symptom of bipolar disorder. Licorice tea is also beneficial for patients with digestion problems.

Tip: Do not consume more than 4 cups of licorice tea a day as it could lead to side effects such as potassium loss and water retention
