ABC Targets helps you ensure that your blood glucose, blood pressure and cholesterol are within a healthy range. You need to consult your doctor to formulate a plan or treatment if you do not reach your ABC targets. ABC targets are:

A for A1C (blood glucose)
A1C: < 7%
Blood glucose during fasting or before meal: 70-130 mg/dl
Blood glucose 1-2 hours after the start of a meal: less than 180 mg/dl

B for Blood pressure
Blood pressure: less than 130/80 mmHg

C for Cholesterol or blood lipids
Total cholesterol: less than 200 mg/dl
Triglycerides: less than 150 mg/dl
LDL (bad) cholesterol: less than 100 mg/dl
with heart disease: less than 70 mg/dl
HDL (good) cholesterol: less than 40 mg/dl (Men) or less than 50 mg/dl (Women)
