Now lets go more in depth. Paleo diet helps diabetes because it contains:

Micronutrients: Paleo diet encourages eating lots of fruits and vegetables which contains micronutrients. These are the small amounts of vitamins and minerals required by the body for diabetes management, such as chromium, niacin, Vitamins B complex and E, magnesium and vanadium. They play an important role in biochemical reactions and other functions of the body and for providing energy to the body.

Essential fats: Usually, diabetics have a low good cholesterol level and a high triglyceride level. By eating a paleo diet rich in Omega-3 foods such as mackerel, salmon, nuts, flax and pumpkin seeds, they can increase their quotient of good cholesterol levels and reduce their triglyceride levels.
