Marijuana, The Next Drug for Diabetes?

Particular studies have shown how marijuana promotes an enhanced carbohydrate metabolism that helps in the growth of the body. Along with this, the lower levels of insulin and resistance to insulin in the bodies of these users suggest that marijuana can help maintain normal blood-sugar level. Statistics have also shown that people who use marijuana have up to 16% reduced levels of fasting insulin and up to 17% lower levels of insulin resistance. These studies point that marijuana could be used to prevent and control diabetes.
