2. Hot Flashes

Hot flashes are among the most common symptoms of perimenopause. Most women will experience this symptom. This medical term is used to describe the sensation of radiating warmth that women will distinctly feel at their chest and head. Hot flashes can last for several minutes and will eventually lead to perspiration.

Almost 40% of women in their 40s are said to be experiencing hot flashes, which is one of the early indications of perimenopause. After about five years, these women no longer experience this symptom, although 10% of them can suffer from hot flashes for up to ten years. The hot flashes episodes can also occur along with some other perimenopause symptoms.
