3. Lack of Language Skills

Another sign of autism is a lack of language skill. Every parent loves to hear their babies babbling away and are often excited to hear the first words they speak. If a child has autism, he or she may start speaking by babbling out and then suddenly going quiet. This usually occurs before a child turns 6 months old.

It could take them a much longer time to learn basic language skills compared to other normal kids. Sometimes, they will repetitively say the same words over and over again and will find it difficult to construct a sentence. Eventually, they can acquire communication abilities to a lesser or greater extent, although some individuals will infuse a few expressions in their communications.
