4. Low Body Temperature

Although an increase in body temperature or fever is a common symptom of blood infections, in some cases, a patient may experience a huge drop in the normal temperature. When a patient’s temperature goes below 35 degrees Celsius or 95 degrees Fahrenheit, it means that hypothermia is present.

Contrary to having fever, low body temperature is usually more dangerous and urgent medical attention will be required. It is important to keep the patient with low body temperature as warm as possible since it may result in fatality if no basic medical aid is done.
