Studies On How Apple Cider Vinegar Help Diabetes

Several studies have been done to evaluate the benefits of apple cider vinegar on diabetes. However, the results are mixed. For instance, one study done on rats showed that the vinegar was effective in lowering LDL as well as A1C Levels. However, the limitation of this study is that it was done on animal subjects and not humans. Hence, it does not provide substantial evidence yet.

Another study found that consuming about 20 grams of apple cider vinegar combined with 40 grams of water and 1 teaspoon of saccharin, can help to lower blood sugar level after every meal. Another study found that consuming apple cider vinegar before bedtime help in regulating ones blood sugar level when waking up. However, sample size of both of these studies are small, with only less than 20 participants each. One study, on the other hand, found that apple cider vinegar has negative effects on glycemic control in type 1 diabetes patients.
